VitalStim

What is VitalStim?

VitalStim® therapy is an evidence-based treatment designed to improve swallowing function in individual experiencing dysphagia due to stroke, neurological conditions, or other medical challenges. At Therapy Link, we integrate this FDA-approved neuromuscular electrical stimulation with traditional swallowing exercises to help patients regain safe and effective swallowing.

Our licensed and certified clinicians provide individualized care, always prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and long-term outcomes—empowering individual  to eat and drink with greater confidence and quality of life.

How VitalStim Works?

VitalStim involves placing small electrodes on the neck to deliver mild electrical pulses to the swallowing muscles. This stimulation is combined with active swallowing exercises, guided by a licensed and certified therapist, to improve muscle function and coordination.

Treatment sessions are personalized based on the patient’s needs and are always conducted under the supervision of a VitalStim-certified therapist, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
